Mahr Elder, DDS, MD

Board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Mahr Elder, DDS, MD earned his bachelor’s and doctor of dental surgery degrees at the University of the Pacific, in San Francisco. He went on to complete his medical degree at Wayne State University in Detroit. Dr. Elder served his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the University of Detroit Henry Ford Hospitals.

In addition to serving patients as an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Elder leads the Elder Group, a collective of state-of-the-art oral and maxillofacial surgical centers in the San Francisco Bay Area in Northern California. His goal is to ensure that the communities in the Bay Area have access to the best possible oral surgery services.

Dr. Elder is also a philanthropist. He donates his time and expertise to local children and teenagers in need of orthodontic assessment and care. He’s been actively volunteering his services and caring for underserved communities since his days at the University of the Pacific. He participated in Student Community Outreach for Public Education (SCOPE) and provided dental exams and prevention education for underserved San Francisco area residents.
